Airports
Richmond International Airport (RIC) is a 10-minute drive from downtown.
More than 2.5 million passengers use RIC annually. Seven air carriers
currently serve Richmond International Airport with non-stop flights to 21
destinations and connecting flights to destinations worldwide. JetBlue joins
AirTran Airways as the latest airline to offer service through Richmond.
Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) is located 90 miles to the
north of Richmond. More than 22.8 million passengers use IAD annually.
Forty air carriers currently serve Washington Dulles International Airport
with nonstop service to 125 destinations including 40 international
destinations.
Transport
The Greater Richmond Transit Company offers public buses to the
Richmond terminal and to the city, as well as other locations throughout the
Richmond Region.
Amtrak trains make stops in both Washington, DC and Richmond, Virginia.
From Dulles International Airport patrons can take a shuttle service or the
Washington Flyer bus service to Union Station in Washington, DC. Amtrak
trains are available at Union Station and daily trips are made south to
Richmond.
Taxis under contract to the Richmond International Airport are available
curbside from first flight departure to last flight arrival. Additionally, Groome
Transportation sedans and other sedan/limousine service is available.
Washington Flyer taxis serve Dulles International Airport exclusively with
24-hour service to and from the airport.
