Wednesday 14 April marks 100 days until the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics, one of the most highly anticipated Games in the history of the world’s biggest sporting event.
A year on from its originally planned date, the Olympic Stadium Tokyo will light up in celebration as the XXXII Olympiad is formally opened on Friday 23 July 2021. Three days later, the men’s individual triathlon race will begin in Odaiba Bay at 6.30am local time on Monday, followed by the women 24 hours later. Saturday 31 July will then see the eagerly awaited Olympic debut of the Triathlon Mixed Relay at 7.30am local time.
With the Olympic Qualification Period all set to reopen, eyes will be on the action at WTCS Yokohama on 15 May, the results of which could see several National Federations taking a big step closer to defining who will be on the plane back to Japan at the end of July to hit the famous start line.
