Pavel Andreev swept to victory in Oberstaufen to record his fourth win in as many races.
In the final Winter Triathlon European Cup of the season, the Russian dominated from the start to finish in 1:02:59.
No-one has come close to Andreev this season and his scintillating form has led him to an exceptional four wins in a row, which includes the European and World winter Triathlon titles.
His compatriot, Evgeny Kirillov, has come closest to challenging Andreev in many of his races but once again he had to settle for second place.
Italian stalwart Daniel Antonioli claimed third place, his first podium of the year but in doing so he maintains his record of claiming at least one podium finish in a Winter season since 2006.
Kristian Monsen (NOR) and Walter Polla (ITA) finished 4th and 5th respectively in a small Elite field which was interspersed with German athletes competing in the home National Championships.
In the Women’s Elite race, Margarita Ovsyannikva (RUS) had only the German women competing in the National Championships for company and despite crossing the line in 5th place, this was enough to give her the gold medal for the Elite Women’s race.
