KTF has produced more 2,500 NTOs through NTO certification courses since year 2000.

A KTF Level 3 and Level 2 TOs’ course took place Saturday and Sunday March 26 and 27 with the participation of 140 Candidates for Level 3 NTO and 12 Candidates for Level 2 NTO. Joo, Hyun Gyu, Chairman of KTF Technical Committee, and 2 other committee members were the course’s facilitators. Education materials were translated version of ITU Competition manual and ITU Event Organizing Manual.

Level 3 is the lowest level of NTO and most of candidates are age groupers and university students. “It is a very good opportunity to promote our sports and spread triathlon rules around Korea.” Joo said. To get Level 3 NTO certification, all participants are required to pass the test with 100% class attendance.

Level 2 NTO participants need to meet the minimum 3 years experience and the required test scores. The objective of the Level  2 NTO course is to provide participants with updated ITU rules and sharing the participants’ experiences in former domestic and international events in Korea.
