A full week of multi-sport festivities culminated with the ITU Corner Brook World Cup Triathlon. The weather for the 3 lap swim, 6 lap bike and 4 lap run was hot, and with the very challenging hilly course simulated what many athletes will face in August at the Olymic Games Triathlon. Kathleen Smet of Belgium and Nathan Richmond of New Zealand put on a great show for the thousands of spectators that lined the course. Both athletes are Olympic-bound and proved that they have to be among the contenders to stand on the podium in Vouliagmeni. A huge congratulations to the Corner Brook Organising Committee who proved again that they are in a class of their own when it comes to staging ITU World Cup events.
