Ibiza is set to welcome thousands of athletes and fans to the island for the 2023 World Triathlon Multisport World Championships, from 60 countries, between April 29 and May 7. The World Triathlon Multisport Championships will see Duathlon, Long Distance Triathlon, Long Distance Aquabike, Aquathlon, Cross Triathlon and Cross Duathlon Multisport World Championship races organised together over a 12-day festival.
The ‘Multisport Legend’ title is earned by any Age-Group World Triathlete who races and completes five or more of the World Championships races at the 2023 World Triathlon Multisport World Championships Ibiza. Seventeen incredible athletes are chasing the title of becoming a World Triathlon Multisport Legend in Ibiza. Multisport Legends will receive special recognition at the closing ceremony at the end of the Multisport World Championships in Ibiza on Sunday, 7 May.

The 2023 Multisport World Championships will start on Saturday, 29 April, with the Elite Duathlon, U23, Juniors and Age-Group Sprint World Championships. Para Duathlon, Age Group Standard distance and Mixed Relay Duathlon World Championships will follow on Sunday, 30 April, in Santa Eulalia, a small town located on the eastern coast of Ibiza. The Aquathlon event will take the stage in Santa Eulalia on Monday, 1 May. On Wednesday, 3 May, the Cross Duathlon World Championships will be staged in San Antonio, on the west coast of the island. On Friday, 5 May San Antonio will also welcome athletes to the Cross Triathlon World Championships. Sunday, 7 May, will be the day for the Long Distance Triathlon World Championships and Aquabike Championships, in the heart of Ibiza.

The Professional Triathletes Organisation will host the first staging of the PTO European Open on Saturday, 6 May as part of its 2023 PTO Tour calendar. The PTO European Open will feature a women’s and men’s 100km race (2km swim; 80km bike; 18km run) that will take place in Ibiza Town, set against the island’s idyllic Balaeric backdrop and co-hosted alongside the 2023 World Triathlon Multisport World Championships.
