The European Triathlon Union is sorry to announce the sad news of the passing of one of our Age Group athletes at the ETU Cross Triathlon European Championships in Strobl am Wolfgangsee on Saturday, 7th September.

Thomas Tittel of Germany, who was competing in the 35-39 Age Group category, suffered an asthma attack during the run. The emergency services were on hand to treat Mr Tittel but he sadly passed away in hospital.

He leaves behind a wife and young child and we would like to offer our sincerest condolences for their loss.
