The best duathletes from all over Europe head to Nancy, France this weekend for the ETU Duathlon European Championships. The event is the first scoring race for the 2010 Duathlon World Rankings. The Elite, U23 and Junior individual races take place on Saturday, May 1, with the Team Mixed Relay, Age-Group and Paratriathlon events on Sunday, May 2.
France has fielded a strong team to defend home turf, led by Elites Laurent Galinier and Sandra Levenez. In the men’s contest, the top three athletes from the 2009 Duathlon European Championships in Budapest will all be competing. Andreas Sutz of Switzerland is the one to beat after topping Galinier in Budapest last year.
