USA Triathlon will provide bike mechanic and coaching services for athletes competing in the Long Beach Para World Cup. The bike mechanic will work out of the Hilton Long Beach hotel in conference room Coral on the 3rd floor. He will also be at the race to perform services on-site. Basic bike services will be complimentary, but any equipment purchases are at the athletes expense. His service times at the hotel will be as follows:
• Wednesday, July 12: 9:00am – 3:00pm
• Thursday, July 13: 7:00am – 3:00pm
• Friday, July 14: 10:00am – 1:00pm
Shelly O’Brien will be providing coaching support for athletes who request it. Coaching support includes support during familiarizations, race-day support, and athlete/coach 1:1 meetings on Thursday, July 13 to answer paratriathlon questions (e.g. World Triathlon rules, rankings, race strategy, etc.). The 1:1 meetings will take place in the Hilton Long Beach hotel lobby.
