Andreas started triathlon in his hometown of Fredericia at a kids event during the ITU long distance world championship in 2001. Andreas has since progressed steadily through the sport with good results as a junior, U23 and now in the senior ranks. Andreas competed in the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games to place 28th.
Andreas won the Duathlon World Championships on homesoil in Odense in 2018.
