Biography

Prince Fahad was initially involved in the sporting movement of Saudi Arabia through taking part in the Saudi Ministry of Sport (formerly the General Presidency of youth welfare) and the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee and providing legal guidance and advice at the sporting level, by serving as a legal advisor in 2007.

Consecutively, Prince Fahad placed his concentration on the international affairs and ensured a proper guidance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at sport levels during his service at the ministry of sport as an international relation in 2012. Considering Prince Fahad’s competency and proficiency that was proven in the field of international relations, HH started his journey within the field of international relations to be appointed, director of International Relations department and advisor to the Saudi Olympic & Paralympic Committee after joining SOPC in 2014 with significant potential to ensure conditional and proficient presentation of the interests of Saudi Arabia at the international levels in the regards of sport.

In 2016, Bin Jalawi brought his expertise of advice and guidance gained through the Saudi sporting movement to the regional & international level and joined the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees to function as advisor to the president of UANOC and was also named member of the International Relations Commission of the International Olympic Committee in 2017 and joined the Public Affairs and Social Development commission of the International Olympic Committee as well in 2018. Furthermore, HH was also named member of the Olympic Council of Asia.

Prince Fahad’s passion in the regard of sports was illustrated through his valuable services in the field of sport. HH extended this passion to one of the traditional and priceless sports in the kingdom and was appointed president of the Saudi Camel Federation in 2018. HH was named a board member of the Saudi Falcons Club.
Moreover, HH expanded his passion about the sport of Triathlon through serving as acting president of the Saudi Sport Federation of Triathlon and President of the West Asian Federation of Triathlon.

After eleven years of efforts were spent in the Olympic movement nationally & Internationally, HH was appointed Vice-President and Secretary-General of the Saudi Olympic & Paralympic Committee and named also as president of the Saudi Olympic Academy. He also played a significant role within the Saudi Sporting movement and managed to serve in further positions as Director of the Asian Games “Riyadh2034” and the Director of the first version of Saudi Games.
